Initial training
Enrollment in the first year of the Political Science program / First-year dual degree in Economics and Political Science
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
- Apply through the national portal Parcoursup and follow the specific procedure.
This step is mandatory and also applies to students changing majors who have already been enrolled in higher education in France (with the exception of students repeating a year). - Due to limited capacity (70 seats), this program is open to holders of the French baccalaureate and to nationals of the EU, the EEA, Switzerland, Monaco, or Andorra who hold or are preparing for an equivalent qualification to the French baccalaureate.

Master's Program Application
Applicants must hold a national degree (or a European degree) equivalent to three years of higher education (180 ECTS credits).
To be admitted to the first year of the Master’s program, you must submit an application at https://www.monmaster.gouv.fr/ starting February 17, 2026.

CONTINUING EDUCATION
The Continuing Education Department at the University of Montpellier (SFC-UM) is your point of contact forprofessional continuing education.
The SFC-UM offers university-level courses to :
- employees, job seekers
- self-employed professionals, artisans, sole proprietors, etc.
- people planning to return to school or pursue a specialization
- students enrolled exclusively in a vocational training contract
It also designs training programs tailored to the needs of businesses and public institutions.
Provided they meet the prerequisites, applicants may register through the SFC-UM as part of a continuing education program to earn:
– QUALIFICATIONS EQUIVALENT TO THE BAC ( DAEU B, Certificate in Law)
– NATIONAL AND STATE QUALIFICATIONS(DUT, Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering Degree, Master’s Degree…)
– INSTITUTIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (University Diploma, Certificate)
Access to the training program is available through a Recognition of Prior Learning (VAP/VAE).
SFC-UM assists applicants in their search for funding andprovides expertise to companies inthe implementation, structuring, and coordination of various programs.
